All you need to do is either launch the application and use File -> Open to select a file, folder, or disk or just drag the file/folder/disk's icon on top of FileChanger's.
Navigating the Interface:
If the file you dropped was a file, the following window will apear. Definitions are explained below.

Name: The name of the file.
Name Locked: When checked, the name of the file can not be modified in the Finder nor in the Get Info window.
File Type: The four letter code of the file type; e.g for a text document, it is usually TEXT.
File Creator: The four letter code of the file creator; e.g for an application, is is APPL.
Is Alias: When checked, the file is an alias.
Is Invisible: When checked, the file is invisible meaning you can not see it in the Finder.
Has BNDL: When checked, the file has a BNDL resource.
Is Stationery: When checked, the file is marked as a stationery file.
Has Custom Icon: When checked, if the file has a custom icon, it is displayed.
Is Inited: When checked, the file is inited.
No INITs: When checked, INIT's are not allowed.
Is Shareable: When checked, the file is shareable.
Extended Finder Flags: These are read only and only work on Mac OS 8.5 or higher.
If you dropped a folder or a disk, the following window will appear:

When you are finished changing the file information, remember to choose Save from the File menu.
